Job Title – Accounting Clerk

About Position: Primary serves as support to the Finance Manager with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions.
- Work Location: Corp Admin Office
88 Vilcome Center Dr, suite 110, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
- Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Required Travel: none
Duties/ Responsibilities –
- Sets up new vendors in MIP.
- Process coded vendor-related invoices.
- Maintain vendor status in MIP.
- Enter AP invoices in MIP.
- Maintain W-9 Physical Electronic Files on all Vendors.
- Post check sessions.
- Prepare pre-paid spreadsheet with additions, deletions and allocations for entry in ADP.
- Assist with mail sorting.
- Answer questions from vendors and employees (account management).
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications -
Education: Associate's Degree or 2-4 years of experience in accounting.
Current/valid License: None
Required:
- Ten-key experience.
- MIP Fund Accounting.
- Microsoft Excel.
- Microsoft Word.
- Reconciliation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Requires frequent sitting for long periods, operation of standard office machines and computer.
- May require lifting of up to 25 pounds.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Requires the use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephones or copiers.
- Requires normal vision range.
- Work is performed in an office environment.
- Contact with staff and external clients/vendors.
**May have a combination of both education and experience
