About Position:
The Information Technology Application Project Coordinator & Data Analyst will monitor and maintain the service levels on all IT systems to meet staff expectations. The IT APC and Data Analyst manages the ticketing system to ensure excellent customer service. Configures, monitors and maintains computer system infrastructure, security and disaster recovery including virtual environment, citrix farm, antivirus software and PHS application software. Provide support to PHS staff and individuals using PHS applications. Troubleshoot computer problems determining the source of the problem and implements appropriate corrective action. The incumbent will manage and maintain new projects according to agreed upon timelines. The IT APC is also responsible for assisting and creating reports related to contractual, regulatory and quality monitoring. The coordinator will assist management 1) evaluates and implements new and enhanced approaches to delivering IT services; 2) tests and optimizes the functionality of systems, networks, and data collection: and 3) work with technical staff to define technical requirements. The position requires knowledge of IT principles, concepts and methods, including IT compliance, security, Internet and emerging information technologies. In addition, the position requires excellent excel skills.

Duties/ Responsibilities -
- In conjunction with the CIO and Director of IT, Manages and oversees the IT systems of ConnectWise and Assetbot software and reports on this data to the CIO.
- Is the project leader on assigned projects and coordinates staff and vendors to meet project timelines and specifications.
- May help coordinate as part of project management the IT Staff to maintain IT systems both hardware and software, IT equipment inventory and IT repairs, all printers and cell phones.
- Participates in the overall operations of the functional area including ensuring continuous improvements in support quality and maintaining our 99.5% systems uptime target
- Participates in and Coordinates the implementation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure that ensures security standards, business continuity and disaster recovery objectives are met.
- Provides oversight and resource management for IT Infrastructure-led projects
- Application support includes: Citrix XenApp, Athena Practice, MIP, IndexLogic, QS1, Dentrix, Dexis, Exchange, Skype/Teams, Midmark, Biscom, AntiVirus system, AntiSpam system, PaceLogic, and Active Directory
- Troubleshoots computer problems and advises staff in appropriate corrective action as well as participates in ticket escalation.
- Attends and participates in management meetings. With the IT Management staff, formulates strategic and operational priorities for IT department
- Organizes operational priorities for IT enhancements and translates those priorities into appropriate staff organization, task assignments and career development plans for staff
- Complete data analyses necessary to evaluate and report on grant-funded projects and QI initiatives, including generation of reports from our practice management and electronic health record, dental record, and implementation of survey instruments.
- Maintains relationships with technology manufacturers and vendors and to negotiate preferred pricing arrangements and contract renewals.
- Ensures appropriate documentation is created and maintained
- Participates in troubleshooting for items that fall within the area of expertise
- Participates in training staff on new systems and system changes in conjunction with the training team.
- Active participant in all security downtime activities
- Provides after hours support
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
While we have a diverse patient population, this position will work closely with PHS employees. Bilingual ( English-Spanish)
Education:
Bachelors Degree in computer science, business or related field + 3 years management experience or equivalent education and experience OR "Server+" or MCSA Server certificate and one of the following: Associates with 2 years of application support or equivalent years of experience or 4 years of Help Desk 3/Help Desk 2 or Associates in computer field with 3 years PHS Help Desk 2/3
Experience:1-2 plus years of experience in information technology. 1 year experience managing projects. Proven experience in locating potential application problems and solving them in an efficient manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with employees as well as outside business and community representatives. Excellent analytical and problem solving ability. Knowledge of information technology, hardware, software, networks, and systems. Ability to plan, prioritize, manage and complete multiple workflow activities on-time and within budget. Ability to effectively manage technical projects and work with IT staff. Knowledge and ability to work effectively with software applications, database applications, Internet, e-mail and healthcare EMR software (Athena). Knowledge and ability in excel or advanced reporting program.
Current/valid License: Yes
- 1-2 plus years of progressively responsible experience in information technology.
