Job Title - Insurance Credentialing Coordinator

About Position: 

The Insurance Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for assisting with maintaining and resolving issues related to insurance credentialing

and enrollment for all LIPs (Licensed Independent Practitioners), MD, OD, PA, FNP, DDS, DMD, RD, LCSW, etc. As well as assisting  

with re-credentialing for all LIPs with the various insurance carriers that PHS is contracted with.  The position will also assist with maintaining

and resolving issues with insurance companies regarding malpractice insurance. Responsible for maintaining guidelines outlined by

The Joint Commission Standards and all insurance companies and their affiliates.  Assist with updating and maintain in house

credentialing database(s) as well as local and national credentialing databases such as NC Tracks, PECOS, CAQH, etc. 

Performs other duties as assigned.  

 

  • Work Location: Administrative Office

  • Schedule: 24 hours per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: 8am - 5pm (No Remote Option)

Duties/ Responsibilities - 

  • Responsible for assisting with maintaining and resolving all issues related to insurance credentialing for medical and dental providers.
  • Responsible for assisting with enrollment for all LIPs (Licensed Independent Practitioners), MD, OD, PA, FNP, DDS, DMD, RD, LCSW, etc.
  • Responsible for assisting with re-credentialing for all LIPs with the various medical and dental insurance carriers that PHS is contracted with.
  • The position also assists with maintaining and resolving issues with insurance companies regarding malpractice insurance.
  • Responsible for assisting with maintaining guidelines outlined by The Joint Commission Standards and all insurance companies and their affiliates.
  • Assist with Update and maintain in house credentialing database for medical and dental as well as local and national credentialing databases such as NC Tracks, PECOS, CAQH, etc.
  • Responsible for assisting obtaining necessary information for credentialing utilizing all applicable standards.
  • Assisting and working with providers to ensure successful and timely completion of credentialing process, including resolution of non-responsive providers.
  • Works closely with Credentialing Specialist/Manager in credentialing for new providers;
  • Assist with working with Patient Account Department to resolve ongoing provider issues.
  • Assist with maintaining internal files including copies of current credential information and update OneApp Credentialing Database.
  • Assist with tracking monthly expiring documents (i.e. DEA's, License's) and send requests for updates.
  • Assist with Health Plan Provider enrollment/credentialing for medical and dental.
  • Assist with maintaining and creation of CAQH profiles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

                                                                      

Qualifications - 

 

Education: High School Diploma;

  • 3 or more years of experience working in health care preferably in insurance

 

Current/valid License: None

 

Pay Range - $16.43 - $22.08
